KUKA Robotics Australia officially opens

KUKA Robotics Australia officially opened in Australia after operating in the country for 15 years through agencies.

KUKA Robotics Australia was opened by the Global CEO of KUKA Roboter, Manfred Gundel.

Hosted in KUKA Australia’s Port Melbourne facility, the event showcased the close bond between Australia and Germany in the best way possible, with a combination of great BBQ food, German beer and some live acoustic rock and roll played by Bob Spencer of The Angels and Mick Pealing from Stars.

Guests also included the Director of KUKA Asia Pacific Alwin Berninger in addition to the Honorary German Consul General, the Vice President of the Australian Chamber of Manufacturing and Industry, and several leaders from Australian manufacturing including APPMA Members and many KUKA Partners and Integrators.

Guests had the opportunity to network with their colleagues from industry in a relaxed environment, while viewing robots such as the new KUKA Waterproof Agilus through to the Quantec series, and discuss with the KUKA team regarding the next industrial revolution, Industry 4.0 comprising of the new KUKA LBR iiwa robots, which require no guarding and work cooperatively with humans.
