Do you have a knowledge of the process control and automation engineering industry but are not employed by a company currently active in the industry? Perhaps you work in a training facility, University or TAFE; at an industry or government insitute; or outside of Australia. We want to hear from you!
!
PACE magazine is currently recruiting judges for our seventh annual 2010 PACE Zenith Awards program: Australia and New Zealand’s only magazine awards program that acts solely in the process control and automation arena.
We are looking for judges to volunteer a small amount of time to judge a maximum of four categories in the 2010 Zenith Awards, covering all the major industries that use process control and automation: but don’t worry, your work won’t go unrewarded!
Judges receive free flights (from within Australia only) and a ticket to the black-tie awards night in Melbourne on 17 June 2010. PACE magazine will also provide a small gift on the night to show our appreciation. PACE magazine will also publish a small profile of each judge, covering their expertise, what company/institute they represent, and what the process control and automation industry means to them.
Projects are given a score out of 100 for engineering leadership, technical excellence, project complexity, safety, business skills, customer satisfaction, project management, and social and environmental responsibility. Scores are tallied up to find a Winner and Highly Commended project in each category.
The judging process is designed to be as simple as possible, and should be easily-performed on top of your day-to-day work. Judges will be given a minimum of three weeks to look over electronic entries, which can include images and other supporting matter, and then provide a score for each out of 100.
Past judges have included automotive industry technicians, TAFE teachers, retired industry professionals, people looking to get in the industry, overseas companies looking to distribute into the Australian marketplace, and more.
If you think you might be elligible, we’d love to hear from you. The PACE Zenith Awards, now in its seventh year, is quickly-becoming a ‘must-see’ on the process control and automation calendar. Contact the editor, Sarah Falson, on 02 9422 2976 or email sarah.falson@reedbusiness.com.au
