A third of the publication’s readers currently own an iPad and nearly fifty per cent own some sort of tablet device. Numbers in Australia are likely lower. For now.
In the next twelve months, nearly eighty per cent of Automation World‘s readers are expected to own a tablet device.
Engineers have listed the folowing work-related information most viewed on tablet PCs:
* SCADA system information for monitoring equipment
* Accessing automated work order systems
* As a portable HMI to operate terminal services applications
* For test and measurement applications
