InMotion merges with Mercer

Brisbane-based InMotion Engineering has merged with manufacturing technology and stainless-steel solutions company Mercer Technologies.

InMotion Engineering specialises in high-end conveyor systems, and the merger with New Zealand’s Mercer expands its product offering by representing Mercer’s lines in Australia and being able to provide a total turnkey operation to more projects in healthcare, food processing and materials handling.

InMotion Managing Director Neil O’Hare said the merger was an exciting time for the company. “Mercer is well-known for its manufacturing technologies and work in stainless steel,” he said. “InMotion has made significant inroads in this area over the years, and the merger with Mercer will assist in adding new technologies to InMotion.

“We now have access to their products and expertise and will be able to service Mercer products in Australia. The merger has already been very positively received by our existing clients and it has sparked new business interest among those who know of Mercer’s reputation and work.”

Mercer has four manufacturing plants in New Zealand, and an office in Dubai to service the Middle East. “Mercer’s superior technology combined with InMotion’s hardworking team of innovative engineers and fabricators will result in even better products for our customers. It certainly is a great new start for InMotion, and we look forward to the opportunities it will create.”
