Backplane Systems Technology has released Aplex Technology’s new ViTAM Series of industrial grade panel PC’s.
The ViTAM Series is a multi platform based PC. Using ARM and X86 based processors, this includes the Intel Atom and Intel 6th generation iCore series, enabling the PCs to deliver a system that is suited to the user’s power needs. With screen sizes available from 10.1” up to 24”, there is a screen available to suit a range of industrial applications.
The PCs feature a rugged design with their IP66/IP69K rated stainless steel enclosure, which enables them withstand high temperatures (-20°C to +60°C), as well as the ability to withstand being hosed by high pressure water.
The screen uses an optical bonding LCD with anti-reflection technology, making it suitable for use in sunlight or other areas where bright light can affect a screen’s readability. It also has high brightness up to 1000nits for environments where harsh daylight is an issue.
The series is based on a modular design that allows different modules to be added to the system. These include CAM, PoE, RFID and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth.
The series has been designed to meet the needs of a range of industries, including food and beverage, manufacturing, factory automation, digital signage and communications.
