IICA Sydney and Melbourne branches reach out to charities for Christmas in July

The IICA Sydney and Melbourne Branches recently held Christmas in July dinners for their members and partners to thank members for their participation throughout the year as well as to raise funds for children's charities.

The IICA Melbourne Branch’s dinner was held at Milanos at Brighton Beach. They incorporated a Trivia Night hosted by Brad Beard (LogiCamms) where the 28 present battled it out.

The winers were “Team Feedforward” led by Bob Weiss  of Honeywell. An amount of $390 was raised for their chosen charity – The Starlight Foundation which provides programs integral to the care of seriously ill children.

The IICA Sydney Branch hosted its 9th Annual Christmas in July dinner at The Cove in Drummoyne. The sponsors who made the evening possible were Burkert Fluid Control Systems, OEM Technology Solutions, I&E Systems, Weidmuller Australia, Schneider Electric and Samson Controls.

Each dinner guest bought along a toy or gift for a child in need. Since 2004, the IICA has donated over 200 gifts to various charities. The chosen charity for 2012 was KARI Aboriginal Resources Incorporated (KARI).
