TransTel Engineering Pty Ltd, an international telecommunication, system engineering and integration company has recently started operations in Perth.

TransTel can help identify bottlenecks in existing communication networks and make recommendations on improvement strategies and implement those, including procurement, engineering and the tie-in of new equipment into existing infrastructures.

TransTel had significant involvement with Woodside’s $1.6 billion Angel Gas Project, on Western Australia’s North West Shelf. The company provided a range of ICT infrastructure to the remotely operated processing platform, including:

• meteorological system;

• aeronautical radio system;

• VHF marine radio system;

• lifeboat marine transceiver, and;

• extensive safety and security equipment.

The oil and gas industry constitute 90% of TransTel’s project base, making them the only information and communication technology (ICT) company with such a specialisation.

Whilst being new in Australia, the company brings extensive experience from the Asia Pacific and Middle East, allowing Australian industry to tap into this comprehensive knowledge base.
