ICEX, the exhibition section of the Institute of Intrumentation, Control and Automation Australia (IICA) will again be part of National Manufacturing Week for the next two years.
ICEX will be an integral component of what is set to be an enlarged National Manufacturing Week 2008 — to be held in Sydney next year from May 27-30 — as well as NMW 2009 to be held in Melbourne.
The agreement between IICA and Reed Exhibitions includes a range of new initiatives planned to maximise the content of the ICEX pavilion and to increase the value of participating in NMW for buyers and suppliers of process, instrumentation, control equipment and services.
In addition, Reed Exhibitions’ recent acquisition of the Manufacturing Technology In Focus (MTIF) exhibition means that from now on, there will only be a single national manufacturing event in Australia each year.
“Our experience — and the results our members have achieved — over the past few years, have shown that NMW is an excellent vehicle for members to exhibit at,” IICA Federal Secretary Maruta Rodan said.
“For that reason we have decided it is essential that IICA be an integral part of NMW through ICEX — and therefore we have extended our agreement.
“The distinct identity that NMW provides ICEX within the larger exhibition means that instrumentation, control and automation products suppliers are grouped together — ensuring visitors can easily find these products within a compact footprint.
“In the run up to NMW 2008, we will also be announcing a range of new initiatives to further grow and develop the profile of ICEX within NMW,” said Rodan.
