Honeywell finds environmental leader

Honeywell appoints Simon James as Energy and Environment Leader for Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia and South Africa (SAPAC).

James’ core responsibility will be to grow Honeywell’s offering in the Energy and Environment space. In addition, he will be required to build on the company’s history of innovative energy programs and ultimately consolidate Honeywell’s position, as a pioneer of Energy Performance Contracting; performance-based guarantees on building energy usage.

Commenting on his new appointment, James said, “My role fundamentally involves positioning Honeywell as a leader in the provision of energy solutions in the building industry. I will provide a focal point for all aspects of the energy sector at Honeywell. My attention will be focused on ensuring Honeywell is addressing all ‘green issues’ facing our customers and meeting their specific needs.”

Vice President and General Manager for Honeywell Business Solutions in South Asia Pacific, John Rajchert, also commented on the appointment, “In an age where the issues of climate change and energy are at the forefront of both the political and social agenda, Honeywell identified a very real need to create a role within the organisation that could specifically address client issues in this area and create a broader regional strategy for the company.”
