Wonderware, a business unit of Invensys, has announced that Chr. Hansen — a leading producer of ingredients for food, pharmaceutical, nutritional and agricultural industries — will use Wonderware software to manage operations at its facilities worldwide.
The Denmark-based company plans to deploy the Wonderware Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence (EMI) solutions.
Wonderware says that by leveraging the ArchestrA architecture, these solutions will enable Chr. Hansen to standardise on common technology that is scalable and configurable, offering a unique, incremental approach to operational improvements.
With ArchestrA technology, the company will be able to propagate its application across multiple manufacturing sites, says Wonderware.
The company’s MES solution features a set of applications designed for consistent and effective execution of operational activities, from product track and trace through enterprise integration.
The Wonderware EMI solution offers the ability to analyse its overall operational performance using data analysis and reporting tools.
“Wonderware will supply Chr. Hansen with tremendous advantages in overall productivity with the comprehensive benefits provided by its MES and EMI integrated solutions,” said Wonderware Scandinavia managing director, Christopher S Ashworth.
“With this agreement, Wonderware will address both the corporate IT requirements with a leading-edge technology platform as well as the users’ requirements with our highly configurable MES and EMI applications.”
