GE has opened a new oil and gas technology solutions centre in Singapore.
The facility, for GE Measurement & Control – which is part of the wider GE Oil & Gas business – creates a real-world environment to aid development of technology in the energy sector.
The site runs across 5176 square metres.
According to GE, its customers "can participate in training sessions, demonstrations, and customisation exercises through a series of interactive interfaces and multimedia presentations designed to address their unique needs."
"At GE Measurement & Control we are dedicated to fueling the future and providing industrial healthcare for customers' critical assets across our industrial and manufacturing environments," Loh Ming Kit, the regional general manager Asia, GE Measurement & Control for GE Oil & Gas, stated.
"This opening is an important step in strengthening GE's presence in the oil and gas sector by having a centralised structure, standardised processes, better coverage, and easier access to the knowledge pool of experts all located in one hub to help generate customers' product solutions," GE said in a company statement.
