GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms Asia Pacific has officially changed its name to GE Intelligent Platforms Asia Pacific after GE and Fanuc ended their GE Fanuc Automation Corporation Joint Venture in December.
The two companies are now operating independently as GE Intelligent Platforms and Fanuc. The joint venture was dissolved to allow each company to focus on its existing businesses and pursue growth in its respective core industry of expertise.
All correspondence and business transactions formerly with GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms will now be with GE Intelligent Platforms, the company said in a statement.
