GE and Fanuc have completed their agreement to dissolve the GE Fanuc Automation Corporation Joint Venture, with the two companies now operating independently as GE Intelligent Platforms and Fanuc.
The joint venture was dissolved to allow each company to focus on its existing businesses and pursue growth in its respective core industry of expertise, according to an announcement.
The two companies signed the final agreement this week in the United States, and will now operate independently as GE Intelligent Platforms and Fanuc.

GE Intelligent Platforms will continue to serve the government and defense, telecommunications, energy, water, transportation, and consumer packaged goods markets with software and services, control systems, and embedded systems globally.
