The MathWorks will be holding free seminars this month in Melbourne, Brisbane and North Ryde in New South Wales, designed to show how MATLAB can help analyse data more efficiently.
The software provider will attempt to show, through live demonstrations, how MATLAB can help overcome limitations and supplement analysis carried out in Excel.
The seminar will also offer insight to how MATLAB can be used to access data from many sources; quickly explore, analyse and visualise data; perform signal processing, statistical analysis and curve fitting; customise and automate analysis and reporting; and develop and deploy applications, says The MathWorks.
MATLAB is a model-based design software for engineers to create manufacturing or process plant systems.
“MATLAB is a high-level language and interactive environment that enables you to perform computationally intensive tasks faster than with traditional programming languages” said The MathWorks managing director, Andrew Clay.
“It is possible to exchange data between MATLAB and Excel, taking advantage of the familiar Excel interface while accessing the computational speed and visualisation capabilities of MATLAB”.
