FLIR T-Series thermal imagers remove limits on thermal inspection productivity

FLIR Systems Australia announces the launch of the T-Series thermal imaging cameras designed to streamline thermal inspections for intensive electrical, mechanical and utility predictive maintenance programs.

FLIR’s fresh line-up of T-Series cameras includes the updated T420 and T440 models featuring 320×240 thermal resolution, and the feature-rich T620 and T640 models with 640×480 pixels. Every model has FLIR’s patented MSX enhancement that highlights thermal images with key visible details in real time for easier recognition.

The new T-Series thermal imagers focus on flexible ergonomics, faster communication from the field and a holistic thermal imaging solution for greater workflow efficiency.

Key benefits include FLIR’s unique rotating optical block that lets users easily aim overhead, under equipment and from other tough angles while keeping the large LCD in comfortable view; Auto-Orientation feature, which automatically keeps onscreen temperature measurement data upright for easier viewing whether the camera is framed for landscape or portrait imaging; intuitive user interface further simplified with touchscreen tools, making it a breeze to access menus, add temperature measurement spot meters and area boxes, change colour palettes, set parameters, and switch imaging modes; a new capacitive touchscreen for navigation with smartphone-like ease; and optimised keypad buttons to make it easier to activate the interface wearing gloves.

The FLIR T-Series cameras also incorporate proven features such as fast Wi-Fi communication connecting cameras to Apple and Android devices; free FLIR Tools Mobile app to allow thermographers to import, analyse and share images and reports immediately directly from the inspection site; app’s ability to stream live video to nearby devices for safer monitoring; and wireless connectivity extending to FLIR MeterLink test instruments that can send readings directly to T-Series cameras via Bluetooth.
