AMS Instrumentation and Calibration announces the launch of Model SPM 120AAA single-channel shaft seal monitoring module for submersible pump motor applications.
Introduced by ATC Diversified Electronics, a division of Marsh Bellofram Corporation, Model SPM 120AAA provides early warning of possible motor shaft seal leakages and failures. The new shaft seal monitoring module can be used as part of an effective predictive maintenance strategy to reduce the risks of premature equipment failure and downtime over 10 million mechanical cycles and fifty thousand electrical operations.
Operating from a 120 VAC 50/60 Hz supply voltage, Model SPM 120AAA shaft seal monitoring modules are ideal for OEM submersible pumps, potable or wastewater sump pumps, industrial or municipal pump monitoring, control package manufacturing, and general industrial leak detection.
Available in a choice of fixed and adjustable sensitivities, Model SPM 120AAA shaft seal monitoring module detects a pump motor shaft seal leak by sensing the position of a resistive float switch or pair of conductive probes installed within the seal cavity. When the resistance drops below the sensitivity rating indicating a possible leak, the output relay energises to illuminate a red LED. Once the submersible pump seal fault condition is corrected, the output relay is automatically reset.
Model SPM 120AAA shaft seal monitoring modules are UL recognised and include a 10-year comprehensive product warranty.
