PACE is pleased to announce the keynote speaker of its Factories of the Future breakfast event, to be held on September 10.
Dr Herbert Hermens of high-integrity castings maker Keech Australia will speak on The challenges to Australian manufacturing posed by increasing global competition.
Hermens will cover collaboration to improve manufacturing, the challenges faced when moving away from traditional manufacturing, and what industry/global changes mean for the Australian industry. (More details here.)
Keech is a third-generation manufacturer with a long, long history of adapting to a changing environment. It has won numerous awards, such as several Endeavour Awards (this year it triumphed in the Technology Application category) and inclusion in BRW’s Most Innovative Companies list for the last two years.
Two years ago it officially introduced additive manufacturing services to its offering, an area in which it continues to increase its activity, including through recent partnerships with the CSIRO and providing back-end support for Officeworks’ new 3D printing service.
