Emerson Process Management has introduced a new software platform that enables users to maximise the power of their wireless networks in large deployments.
The new Smart Wireless Navigator integrates Smart Wireless tools for planning, managing, and maintaining networks, streamlining the Smart Wireless experience by organising valuable wireless network and device diagnostics and data in an intuitive interface, along with the wireless tools.
The Smart Wireless Navigator helps users effortlessly manage their expanding wireless infrastructure and maximise the value from their wireless networks. A single software platform design allows users with large wireless deployments to manage their networks across functional groups, delivering actionable information to the people who need it.
According to Bob Karschnia, vice president of wireless at Emerson, facilities can maximise value by using a central platform to plan and deploy new networks and organise the influx of new data and diagnostics. To address this requirement, Emerson Process Management developed a single window interface that brings together several Smart Wireless tools on a specially designed appliance to maximise visibility, efficiency and value.
The intuitive design of the platform organises large amounts of wireless diagnostic information and data, with the existing infrastructure illustrated for easy understanding.
Karschnia summarises that the Smart Wireless Navigator is a comprehensive tool that helps users realise the value of wireless across reliability, safety, environmental accountability and process performance aspects, delivering value throughout the cycle of engineering, installation, operation and maintenance.
