Emerson Process Management announces the launch of a transmitter for use in upstream and midstream oil and gas applications.
The new Rosemount 4088 MultiVariable transmitter provides differential pressure, static pressure and temperature measurement from a single instrument. The extended range capability of the advanced Rosemount 4088 captures flow rate spikes above the upper range limit of the transmitter to account for flow that would have traditionally been missed.
Scott Nelson, vice president and general manager of Rosemount pressure products at Emerson Process Management explained that the Rosemount 4088 was designed to help companies achieve a high level of measurement accuracy and output efficiency over the life of a well.
The Rosemount 4088 transmitter’s extended range capability delivers superior measurement performance for plunger lift measurement applications over the life of oil and gas wells. Key advantages include new sensor technology measuring flow rate spikes while still achieving excellent performance over the typical operating range; and accurately measuring flow that is commonly missed to guarantee correct accounting of oil and gas production, potentially saving companies thousands of dollars a year.
The Rosemount 4088 MultiVariable transmitter offers stable performance over the life of the well, ensuring consistent production and minimising service and equipment costs.
Key features of the Rosemount 4088 multivariable transmitters include reliable and stable signal transmitted through Modbus, BSAP, or MVS, resulting in excellent data accuracy and more effective management of changing well conditions; integrated into a larger oil and gas production network by transmitting data to flow computers and RTUs; designed to easily integrate with Emerson’s flow computer products, such as the ROC, FloBoss, and ControlWave; and allowing use with any new or existing flow computer or RTU network that accepts Modbus input.
