Emerson Process Management introduces the new Rosemount 8750W magnetic
flowmeters for water, wastewater and utility applications.
Designed to help utility operators reduce lifecycle costs and unplanned
shutdowns, the robust, easy-to-use flowmeter Rosemount 8750W offers diagnostics
as well as documentation, helping users take advantage of improved
installation, maintenance and process management practices. The 8750W
diagnostics allow meter verification, stability in noisy applications, and
ground and wiring fault detection.
Users can employ the Smart Meter Verification diagnostic available with the
8750W to verify calibration without shutting down the process and without the
need for complicated external equipment, reducing the time and cost associated
with meter verification procedures.
The Smart Meter Verification diagnostic proves the health of the
magnetic flowmeter system as required by regulatory agencies and also provides
the necessary documentation required by environmental agencies for regulated
flow measurements as well as for critical applications such as effluent flows.
All diagnostic information can be quickly accessed through the easy-to-use
Local Operator Interface (LOI), the 475 Field Communicator or AMS Suite
predictive maintenance software.
Key features of the Rosemount 8750W magnetic flowmeters also include a fully
welded sensor with isolated terminal blocks and hermetically sealed coil
compartment for increased reliability in utility and water applications; and dual
compartment transmitter housing and self-draining conduits keeping the
electronics isolated from moisture and contamination.
