A leading researcher in the field of petroleum engineering had joined Edith Cowan University as a Professorial Research Fellow.
Professor Stefan Igauer, who has authored more than 180 technical publications, has joined ECU’s School of Engineering to establish a Petroleum Engineering discipline.
He received his PhD in Material Science from Oxford Brookes University (UK) in 2002.
His main areas of research are carbon dioxide geo-sequestration and improved hydrocarbon recovery.
In 2015 ECU announced it was seeking to recruit more than 20 new professors from around the world to rapidly increase research activity and impact. Professor Igauer is the 17th appointment as part of this initiative.
