Funding of $5.3 million has been awarded to support more than 90 registered training organisations (RTOs) across Australia to deliver innovative e-learning solutions -including projects in engineering and mining- for the vocational education and training (VET) system.
The national training system’s e-learning strategy, the Australian Flexible Learning Framework (Framework), has provided selected E-learning Innovations projects with funding to develop strategic e-learning solutions at the state and territory level, tailored to meet local education and training priorities.
E-learning Innovations assists RTOs to embed e-learning as a key aspect of their business strategy, focusing on:
· business—training provider partnerships driving the integration of e-learning into business and training
· empowering individual learners through providing greater choice, responding to the needs of disadvantaged learners, and through facilitating increased RPL (recognition of prior learning).
Participating RTOs benefit from opportunities to form e-learning partnerships with industry and business that meet e-learning training needs and address skill shortages.
