Dual band radio operates as access point, client, bridge or repeater

Leading developer of device networking and industrial communication products, Antaira Technologies introduces a new dual band radio to their wireless devices family.

The new APN-320N (-T) simultaneous dual band radio is a hardened industrial grade wireless product designed for reliability and versatility.

Key capabilities include ability to communicate on both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency ranges simultaneously, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n compliance; flexible configuration options allowing operation as an access point, client, bridge or repeater; maximum data rate of 300Mbps; and support for IEEE 802.11i / 802.1x authentication.

The APN-320N (-T) incorporates two independent radios within a single housing design allowing the end user to take advantage of both 2.4GHz and 5GHz applications at the same time with a single unit. By placing 802.11b/g devices on the 2.4 GHz band and 802.11a/n devices on the 5GHz band, the user can maximise device performance. Both of the radios within the APN-320N (-T) will have independent IP addresses as well as RJ45 connection ports allowing the user different general application options as well as advanced VLAN management options.

The APN-320N wireless device is recommended for various market applications such as building automation for two wireless radios within a single unit for enterprise and public networks and also in process control automation for simultaneous dual band wireless within a single unit for different control areas.

Key features of APN-320N (-T) dual band radio include connection interface having 2xRJ45 – 10/100 Base T(x) ports per radio; two Omni Directional antennas per radio (total of four antennas) utilising MIMO technology to improve the communication performance of each radio; wide voltage input range of 12-48VDC making it suitable for both mobile and stationary applications; hardened industrial grade IP30 metal enclosure; extended operating temperature range of -35°C to 70°C; ambient relative humidity of 5 to 95% (non-condensing); and compliance with part 15 of the FCC Rules.
