The new SLC/SLG 445 series of safety light curtains and safety light
grids available from Control Logic is designed for multifunctional versatility,
maximising flexibility, productivity and safety.
The new SLC/SLG 445 series offers multiple functions including fixed
blanking, floating blanking, fixed blanking with movable edge region, double
reset, contactor control (EDM), automatic mode, re-start mode and beam coding
in addition to multi-scan and muting.
The Multi-Scan function continuously assesses the protection zone,
increasing the availability of the safety light curtain by supressing temporary
disturbances such as flying burrs, steam clouds and flying insects, thereby preventing
false triggers.
The Mute function allows safe time-limited bridging of the safety light
curtain for objects to be transported into or out of the danger zone. Up to
four muting sensors can be connected easily via a field distributor with
integrated cable, reducing effort and increasing the availability of the
system.

The SLC445 and SLG445 series safety light
curtains are suitable for use in safety circuits up to Type 4 to EN 61496-1,
PLe (EN 13849-1) or SIL3 (EN62061).
