Champion Compressors has a new management team in place and is acknowledging their membership of the global Sullair Corporation with an official name change. Champion has been owned by Sullair since 2002. Sullair is a subsidiary of Hamilton Sundstrand – a member of the United Technologies Corporation (UTC) group of companies – which includes a portfolio of iconic names such as Otis, Carrier, Pratt & Whitney, Sikorsky and UTC Fire & Security.
Adrian Davis (pictured here) is Sullair Australia’s new General Manager aims to consolidate and expand the company’s position as an industrial leader, by drawing on the strengths of its global parents. According to Davis, his key focus will be to leverage the strengths of UTC to further improve Sullair Australia’s offerings to industry. “In many respects, this is a coming-of-age for the company,” he said. “Not only will this allow Sullair Australia to better leverage the strategies, stability and market presence of UTC, but it will also enable its many strengths to be shared with the rest of the UTC group.”
Sullair Australia will continue to offer industry a customised compressed-air solution that is tailored to the exact needs of the end-user’s application. “The degree to which the company can design and deliver bespoke solutions to meet precise end-user’s requirements should not be undervalued,” said Davis. “There is enormous scope for Sullair Australia to provide this expertise to a greater number of markets overseas. And great potential to offer a much wider range of Sullair compressors to Australian markets in the future.”
The full integration of Sullair Australia into the UTC’s global business enterprise is expected to be a win-win scenario for both the broad spectrum of industries it serves across the globe, and for the company itself. “Australian industry will see the difference,” said Davis who promises an extended choice of products and enhanced levels of customer service.
