American-owned cabling and data company, Belden Inc, has been included in the top-1000 highest grossing companies for the year by Fortune magazine.
The American magazine named Belden Inc as number 884 on the list, which was topped by the world’s largest retail chain, Wal-Mart.
Making $137 million in profits for the last financial year ending 30th June 2008, Belden’s results jumped 108 per cent from the corresponding previous year.
Belden’s Australian subsidiary supplies heavy-duty cabling, specialty electronics and data networking products to the audio/visual, industrial, networking and telecommunications industries.
Taking out the top-three places for electrical and electronics companies were Emerson Electric with the top spot, appliance-maker Whirlpool coming in second and Rockwell Automation in third.
