Now is the time to purchase your 2010 calendars, with the IICA Events list now available online, Dirk Kuiper writes.
Details of the Institute of Instrumentation, Control & Automation (IICA) events for 2010 will be available on the IICA website (below) from 1 October 2009. Experience has shown that these events are booked early, with many of the 2009 events being sold out with additional companies added to the waiting lists.
IICA Table Top Exhibitions are a cost effective way for companies involved in the areas of instrumentation, control and automation to showcase their products to a range of industry representatives and buyers from managers and engineers to apprentices and students.
IICA Table Tops Exhibitions are run Australia-wide in capital cities and regional areas, providing a one-stop shop for companies that want to buy or sell their industrial products and services. The events are also an economical way to access prospective customers in a friendly, relaxed environment over a drink or nibbly.
Table Top entry is free for visitors, with specific rates applicable for exhibitors depending on IICA Membership type. Multiple booking discounts to exhibit at more than one IICA event are available, if paid in full by 1 February 2010.
Here’s a glimpse of what you can expect to see at a IICA Table Top:
Instrumentation (Sensors) — flow, level, pressure, temperature, water analysis, speed, linear displacement, vibration, weight, torque, ambient air and stack analysis.
Control — controllers (PID and simple), signal conditioners (isolators and converters) and transducers, and switches.
Automation — PLCs, variable speed drives, servo motors, HMI (touchscreens), DCS and SCADA systems (distributed control system and supervisory control and data acquisition).
Other — test and measurement equipment, gauges (pressure and temperature), data loggers, safety systems (switches, guards, process control and automation), and power supplies.
IICA Symposia are run in most Australian capital cities and some regional areas. The topic for 2010 will be ‘automation’, in all its forms, and expert speakers will be presenting on various aspects of automation.
If you would like to book for an IICA Event, please download the booking form from the IICA website or request one via email from events@iica.org.au Do not delay, as some of these events will sell out very quickly!
