Boiler and furnace conference for Perth

Engineering research and training group, IDC Technologies, is running a boiler and furnace conference in Perth on November 26th and 27th.

The conference will be mostly practical so delegates can gain access to up-to-date information and practical understanding of the design, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and management of boiler plants.

This will include small, medium and large-sized boilers.

The focus will be on boiler selection, safety and legal obligations and there will be an additional focus on the nuts and bolts of boiler design, according to IDC.

The conference is designed for engineers and technicians from a range of abilities and backgrounds and will provide a review to troubleshooting, maintenance and the basic design rules of boilers.

“There has been an increasing focus in recent times on whether the plant demands of modern day power plants are being met within the confines of environmental restrictions. This conference will seek to provide the knowledge necessary to tackle environment related issues in boilers and also bring you up to-date with the latest boiler technologies aimed at ensuring environmental compliance,” said a spokesperson for the company.

The basic practices of instrumentation, controls systems and safety controls for boilers will also be examined.

Further, burner management systems will be discussed with their principal features including flame safety systems. The essential safety requirements for boilers and furnaces will be highlighted and the corresponding safety interlocks reviewed as practical solutions in accordance with the latest safety standards.
