Boeing has named Ken Shaw as the next vice president and managing director of Boeing Defence Australia (BDA).
Effective September 25, Shaw will be based in Brisbane. He succeeds Kim Gillis, who recently left Boeing to become the deputy secretary of the Capability and Acquisition Sustainment Group within the Commonwealth of Australia.
Shaw last served as vice president of Supplier Management for Boeing Military Aircraft and had previously held the same position within Global Services & Support (GS&S). In those jobs, he developed strategic supplier relationships around the globe, including Australia.
“His broad knowledge of Boeing and demonstrated leadership skills will benefit the dynamic BDA business,” said Leanne Caret, president of GS&S.
