BEHIND VIPA
The VIPA business was founded in 1985 by Wolfgang Seel in Erlangen, Germany as a system house for automation technology. During its 20 years of company history, VIPA managed to grow from an expert in Siemens-compatible-modules to provide an entire range of self-developed PLC systems under its own brand.
“VIPA’s initial idea was to develop products for the world of Siemens that did not yet exist, and which were technologically better,” VIPA Elektronic systems Austria engineer and CEO, Martin Zöchling, said.
The company’s success is based on an urge to constantly improve existing products and to introduce innovative and pioneering technology, according to Zöchling.
