Banlaw and Identic sign reciprocal distribution agreement

Two fuel management companies, Australian firm Banlaw and Sweden based Identic have signed an agreement to distribute each other’s products in their respective markets.

In a media statement, Identic managing director Robert Källberg says that the co-operation will allow both companies and their distributors to better serve current and potential customers and broaden their markets.

Banlaw CEO Bill Clifton sees the agreement strengthen ing each company’s respective positions as market leaders as they will have a stronger customer offering in fuel and depot management.

“Banlaw predominantly provides fuel management solutions to the “off road” mining, rail and ports industries while Identic focuses on the “on road” bus, truck and road transport industries with fuel and depot management solutions,” says Källberg.

“This co-operation between Banlaw and Identic strengthens the companies’ resources to meet the increasing demand for professional and efficient fuel and depot management across all continents and all major markets,” says Clifton.

"Both our companies are very strong in fuel management, particularly spill-free refuelling, which is becoming an increasingly important issue for financial, safety and environmental reasons,” he says.

Banlaw designs and manufactures a range of fluid transfer and hydrocarbon management systems and products including its unique FuelTrack fuel management system. Established in 1980, it has distributors in 15 countries in Australia, Asia Pacific, and the Americas, with one of those in Europe (Scotland). It is 40 per cent owned by Singapore based company Orianna.

Identic is the leading supplier of fuel and depot management systems for heavy duty vehicle fleets. Established in 1979, the company specialises in the development and supply of Identic Intelligent Depot System for vehicle fleet operators.

This system combines safe and efficient fuel and chemical handling with integrated software solutions. Identic’s products and systems solutions are supplied and supported by a network of distributors in Europe.
