Rockwell Automation has opened a new Asia Pacific Customer Briefing and Competency Centre in Singapore, which includes training facilities for Rockwell employees and customers in the region.
The Centre will consist of a Customer Briefing Centre, OEM Competency Centre, Commercial Engineering facilities and two training facilities, providing training, competency development and proof of concept capabilities.
“Despite the global economic downturn, Rockwell Automation continues to increase its investments in the Asia Pacific region, a testament to our strong commitment and confidence in the region,” said Rockwell Automation Asia Pacific Region president, Keiran Coulton.
“Our new Asia Pacific Customer Briefing and Competency Centre demonstrates this commitment, along with our dedication to customers. The centre showcases Rockwell Automation’s advanced automation products, integrated control and information architecture and provides an exceptional educational experience for professionals at all levels.”
The facility will provide hands-on training for all Asia Pacific markets. It will offer the latest Rockwell Automation training practices and complement existing training facilities in the rest of the world, according to the company.
The OEM Competence Centre will also provide specific OEMs with consultancy for new or conversion applications, machine architecture and design recommendations, code architecture and proof of Concepts (POCs).
The Customer Briefing Centre includes a working model of a complete Integrated Architecture solution, integrating multiple control disciplines such as discrete, motion, process, batch, and motion control on a single platform which provides a safe and secure production environment. It also focuses on the expanding process capabilities of Rockwell Automation including process safety, high availability and asset management.
