Industrial automation provider, Rockwell Automation, can add another notch to its belt since being awarded a fourth Frost & Sullivan Best Practice Award in the PLC category.
In recognition of the automation control and information solutions provider’s “outstanding performance” throughout 2007 in the Asia Pacific region, Rockwell Automation received the 2008 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Industrial Technologies Award for ‘Asia Pacific PLC Company of the Year’ at a recent awards ceremony.
The 2008 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Industrial Technologies Awards honour the outstanding performance of companies contributing to industries such as industrial automation and process control, electronics and security, energy and power systems, and chemicals, materials and foods industries—as well as new and emerging technologies across these industry sectors.
“With the first products rolling out of our R&D centre in Shanghai and our Singapore Business Centre, Rockwell Automation is pleased to provide Asia Pacific locally produced, market-leading technology,” said Rockwell Automation, Asia Pacific Business Centre vice president, Dave Johnson.
“These awards are an invaluable way to evaluate and commend the efforts of companies striving to help businesses grow in the region, and Rockwell Automation is thrilled to receive this recognition.”
The Industrial Technologies Award is Rockwell Automation’s fourth consecutive Best Practices Award from Frost & Sullivan. Last year, the control company’s efforts earned it an award for Brand Leadership and Service Support Leadership in the PLCs Market and Channel Support Leadership in the HMI Market.
In previous years, it received the Customer Service Leadership Award and, in 2006, CEO, Keith D. Nosbusch, was awarded with the CEO Lifetime Achievement Award in the Industrial Automation and Control Space.
“As the economies of Asia Pacific continue to develop at an extraordinary pace, companies here will increasingly have to look to innovative solutions to add value and provide a competitive edge,” said Integrated Architecture, Rockwell Automation Asia Pacific marketing director, David Hegarty.
“As one of the world’s largest companies solely dedicated to automation, we understand what is needed to make businesses more competitive, and are proud to receive the recognition.”
Rockwell Automation Australia and Rockwell Automation New Zealand are subsidiaries of Rockwell Automation, Inc—a global provider of industrial power, automation control and information solutions that works to help manufacturers achieve a competitive advantage in their businesses.
The company supplies industrial automation brands such as Allen-Bradley controls and services and Rockwell Software factory management software.
