Automation and Control engineer becomes CEO

Resource services company COSOL has appointed their new Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer:

• Ron Fredericksen — Executive Director

• Joe Spirito — Chief Executive Officer

Fredericksen will manage the existing relationships with the COSOL multinational client base and engage with existing partners on an international scale in the resource sector. The change in focus is seen as a pivotal move to accelerate the COSOL international expansion, which has included the opening of an office in Santiago, Chile.

Prior to joining COSOL Ron held senior management roles in BHP Billiton including CIO for the Carbon Steel Materials Customer Sector Group and CIO with Escondida in Northern Chile — the world’s largest copper producer.

Spirito has extensive experience working within the resources services area having previously held senior management roles with ABB and Honeywell managing both domestic and international business scopes.

He brings a proven track record in business development based upon an engineering, automation and control systems background. He has a depth of understanding of the systems and processes within the resource sector, with a track record of implementing value-add solutions that address the challenges faced by these capital intensive organisations.
