One of the premier global research and analyst firms covering our industry has appointed a manufacturing automation specialist to join its group as Senior Analyst.
ARC Advisory Group is one of the main analyst firms researching and presenting intellectual papers for our industry, helping manufacturing and process companies to further their own brands by responding to industry demand and trends.
ARC’s specialties include manufacturing, energy, and supply chain solutions, also covering technology from sensors and automation to production, design, and business systems. Manufacturers globally purchase and commission research from ARC.
The company’s new Senior Analyst, Jason Dong, has extensive knowledge and expertise in the Chinese manufacturing industry, specializing in energy, automation and utilities.
As a control systems engineer, he has been in charge of programming and commissioning numerous process automation projects. He has also worked closely with discrete manufacturers and OEM equipment suppliers in China to provide automation solutions that improve product and process performance, according to ARC.
“China is one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing markets for industrial automation and related technologies and services,” said ARC president and founder, Andy Chatha.
“Many of our global clients are looking to expand their footprints in China, both as a base for low-cost manufacturing for global markets and to increase their participation in the large local Chinese market.
“Jason’s extensive background in developing, applying, and marketing automation technology and services and his intimate knowledge of the Chinese market will enable ARC to better serve our global customers interested in serving the Chinese manufacturing, energy, and utility sectors.
“We also look forward to expanding our own client base of domestic Chinese automation suppliers, end-users, and owner-operators.”
According to ARC China business manager, Jared Malarsky, recent global pressures have given rise to a greater need for manufacturers to deploy best practices.
“The global economic situation and rising labor, transportation, and material costs are placing pressure on manufacturers in China to employ global best practices,” he said.
“Mr. Dong brings the automation expertise and understanding of the unique features of the local market. These are critical to helping companies develop effective automation strategies. We are pleased to have him join our team.”
As ARC’s new Senior Analyst, Dong will be based in ARC’s Shanghai office where he will conduct research, speak at industry conferences, and write reports on trends in the Chinese manufacturing, energy, and utilities industries.
