Australian Mining Prospect Awards to be co-hosted by AIMEX

In a world first, the Australian Mining Annual Prospect Awards will be co-hosted by the international mining exhibition AIMEX. The Australian Mining Prospect Awards are known throughout the industry for recognising and awarding excellence.

For close to a decade it has highlighted the exceptional talent and advances that the mining industry has consistently made. The awards aim to recognise the best, brightest and most innovative in the industry, a vision shared by the largest mining exhibition in the Asia Pacific, the Asia-Pacific International Mining Exhibition (AIMEX).

Held only once every four years, this event is an internationally recognised platform for Australian and global suppliers of mining technology, equipment and services, and brings the industry together.
These two events are working together in 2011 to present Australian Mining’s 8th Annual Prospect Awards Co-Hosted by AIMEX.

This inaugural event will see the awards hosted in conjunction with this colossal mining exhibition.
In line with the enormous size of the exhibition, the awards have also increased in range, adding three new awards to the line up.

Bringing back the coveted Young Achiever of the Year award, Australian Mining has also added, for the first time ever, an award for exceptional Community Interaction and for Mining’s Woman of the Year.
These two new awards are highlighting the side of the mining industry that is often ignored within Australia.

For the Community Interaction of the Year award the event will look at those who have made a real difference for the local region and are an integral part of their community. Despite being seen as a completely male dominated industry, women have always played an important role in keeping mining on track and moving forward.

Mining’s Woman of the Year award highlights those women who make an impact in the mining industry every day and showcase the sector’s fair go attitude. These latest awards underscore the growth of mining within Australia and the many different ways in which the industry is supporting the nation.

This exciting event is being held on the second night of AIMEX, with transport provided to and from the venue. So get recognised for what you are doing, but get in fast as sponsorships are quickly closing.
