AIS CEO to address Middle East exhibition

Australian Innovative Systems (AIS) CEO, Elena Gosse, will showcase the Australian-owned and operated company’s multi award-winning water disinfection technology at the Middle East’s premier exhibition for the leisure, sports, and resort industries this week.

AIS will exhibit at The Leisure Show at the Dubai World Trade Centre from September 16-18. As part of AIS’ commitment to industry and consumer education, Gosse will also make a special presentation at the Pool and Spa Conference on the dangers of handling, storing and dosing swimming pool chemicals.

“Global health guidelines recognise that chlorine remains the most effective swimming pool water disinfectant. The issue is with the way that chlorine is created, Gosse said.

“A pool can become a ticking time bomb wherever public swimming facilities are still using outdated and unsafe, conventional chlorine dosing whether in liquid, granular or gaseous form. It’s putting public safety at risk.

“Many progressive facilities have adopted AIS’ inline chlorine generation via electrolysis for their water disinfection needs which negates the need for storage or handling of chlorine on site.”

Gosse said AIS exports to more than 50 countries worldwide and already has some of its systems operating in the Middle East, but the Leisure Show offers a tremendous opportunity to grow the business further.

“Back in 2009 we exhibited at the BIG 5 Construction Show and learned that there was some resistance in the region to adopting salt-water pools due to the potential for salt-induced staining, degradation and corrosion of poolside paving, fixtures and fittings, especially anything made from rust-prone materials.

“Nearly 10 years later we are proud to say that we’ve done some homework and are now returning to Dubai to introduce our extensive range of chlorine generators for mineral and fresh water pools, all of which operate at extremely low salinity levels.

“We can’t wait to introduce our simple, safe and smart technology to the Middle East, a technology that is 100 per cent reliable and does not require you to abandon the proven effectiveness of chlorine.”

The Leisure Show is attended by more than 150 international suppliers including more than 5,000 industry professionals – architects, designers, commercial developers and key decision makers, visiting the show to network, source the latest innovations, products, and equipment to build, operate and maintain their resort, fitness centre, spa, outdoor area, theme park and other leisure facilities.
