The Australian Industry Group (Ai Group) and Engineering Employers Association South Australia (EEASA) will merge their group training courses to form a single group of almost 700 students available for apprenticeships across Australia.
After merging their operations on 1st July to become Ai Group South Australia Branch, the two groups are also amalgamating the Ai Group Training Services (AiGTS) and the Engineering Employers Association Group Training Scheme (EEAGTS), resulting in AiGTS becoming one of the largest and geographically diverse group training companies in Australia.
The aim of AiGTS is to provide industry with skilled workers for the future and career paths for young people entering the labour market, according to the two groups.
The team at EEAGTS developed a strong reputation for training and placing skilled apprentices into manufacturing companies in South Australia, and that team will continue to provide energy and expertise to AiGTS in South Australia, they said.
“We welcome all our new clients and apprentices to AiGTS. With AiGTS staff supporting both the placement, delivery and training needs of apprentices, trainees, employers and Vocational Education and Training (VET) across Australia, we are now one of the largest group training companies serving the manufacturing industry,” AiGTS director Brian Kerwood said.
AiGTS is currently responsible for recruiting and placing close to 700 skilled apprentices for host companies across the country. AiGTS will make accessing skilled apprentices quicker and easier, the group claims.
“AiGTS is essentially a one-stop-shop for all our clients recruiting needs in Queensland, Western Australia, New South Wales, Tasmania, Victoria, and now South Australia. This is extremely beneficial for employers with branches across Australia. AiGTS will become their single point of contact therefore making the recruitment process more efficient and consistent,” Kerwood said.
