3D scanning company breaks into New Zealand’s top tech companies list

ARANZ Geo  has been listed as one of New Zealand's top  emerging companies in the annual TIN100 report.

The Christchurch based software company has Rio Tinto and BHP among its clients.ARANZ Geo designs and develops the Leapfrog suite of products which are 3D geological modelling solutions for the mining, energy and environmental markets.

The Leapfrog software suite has changed the way geologists produce models and make decisions in the mining, hydrogeology, and geothermal industries.

The company has the numbers to prove its success – ARANZ Geo's revenues grew NZ$3.5 million, or 42 percent, to NZ$11.7 million in 2013. ARANZ Geo won a special commendation at last month's New Zealand International Business Awards, as reported by www.stuff.co.nz.

The TIN100 Report monitors the performance of New Zealand’s 200 (TIN100 and TIN100+) largest technology exporters in the areas of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), High Tech Manufacturing and Biotechnology. It is produced by the Technology Investment Network in association with Callaghan Innovation.

On New Zealand's 10 companies to watch list is Scott Technology that celebrates 100 years this year. The company specialises in the design and manufacture of automated production and process machinery. It builds advanced automation systems, particularly for the appliance, meat processing, mining and superconductor industries globally.

Electronics firm Tait Communications maintained its fourth position in the TNT100 top 10 with a 7 percent revenue growth to reach NZ$214 million in 2013. Based in Christchurch, the company designs and manufactures mobile radio communications.
