Intercad has appointed Kerry Rice as New Zealand Country Manager to optimise its operations and focus on the business and technical issues faced by its customers everyday. Intercad recently sold the 1000th licence of the software in the country.
The CAD/CAM specialist is experiencing a considerable growth in the local market. It is the sole distributor of SolidWorks 3D technology in Australia and New Zealand. The company supplies designers, engineers and manufacturers with the software, training and support to help them master the most complex design tasks. Intercad has recently sold the 10,000th SolidWorks licence in the region.
The New Zealand industrial design sector delivers world-class designs and competes strongly in the global design and manufacturing market partly because of its willingness to use computer-based design software.
Rice will concentrate on optimising Intercad’s sales model and operation, and improve customer focus in New Zealand. He will draw on his extensive experience in customer relations and will employ more account management and technical people to better service the customer base. In addition, Rice will be responsible for building Intercad’s market share in vertical industries.
